About Yi

Yi joined the World Resources Institute in December 2010. As a junior accountant, he is responsible for reconciling accounting and procedural differences with WRI’s China office and facilitates communication with external auditors for program audits.

Prior to WRI, Yi worked as an intern at The Arc of the United States, a prominent DC-based non-profit organization. He specialized in receivable and payable processing as well as revenue issues. Yi was one of the founders of BF-GLOBAL Cooperative Company in Finland, and organization which is still flourishing today. The mission of the Yi’s coop was to advise Finnish individuals and organizations on how to optimize their supply chains globally.

Yi is a native Chinese. He earned his Master’s in Accounting from Strayer University, and holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, Finland. He is very interested in geographic issues and is an avid world coin and banknote collector.
