Walton Upchurch works in Corporate Relations in WRI’s Development Department. Her work focuses on corporate engagement, primarily through the management of WRI’s Corporate Consultative Group.

WRI’s Corporate Consultative Group is a collection of forward-thinking companies interested in understanding sustainability issues that affect the corporate community. The Group serves as a vehicle for exchanging valuable thinking about responses to shared challenges. Membership provides an opportunity to stay up-to-date with the latest WRI research on issues relevant to business, as well as to keep a connection to the most recent happenings on Capitol Hill. Members engage with WRI experts – and with each other – to access environmental intelligence in order to protect and grow shareholder value and steer business to better protect the environment.

Walton is currently working towards an MBA at George Washington University. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art History from Davidson College in North Carolina.
