Vicki is the CRM Specialist in the Administration Department. She works to maintain and improve the Constituent Relationship Management systems used at WRI. These systems include the Raiser’s Edge database, which stores contact information, NetCommunity, which is an online communication tool, and Salesforce which has both a database component and a communication tool. Vicki is responsible for ensuring data integrity and system functionality, processing newsletter sign-ups and event registrations, assisting staff with specific requests, and providing training.

Vicki previously worked as a Database Coordinator at The Children’s Inn at NIH, the Audubon Naturalist Society, and The ALS Association using the Raiser’s Edge in a fundraising capacity. Prior to that she held a variety of volunteer positions. She also worked for 10 years as a petroleum geologist.

Vicki holds a B.A. in Geology from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y, and an M.A. in Geological Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin.

Vicki still has a strong interest in geology and loves to examine rocks no matter where she is, for example on a hike, in a building, or in a park. She loves creative writing and participates in a writing group in Silver Spring, M.D., where she lives with her two sons and two cats.
