About Tonia Garnett
Ms. Garnett has spent 14+ years serving in instrumental roles in Corporate Recruiting and Human Resources Management. Her broad experience includes a corporate and non-profit background.
Ms. Garnett currently manages the sourcing and hiring for World Resources Institute. She doesn’t just hire the best talent for the position but instead focuses on hiring the true world-wide “expert” in their field for WRI!
Prior to WRI, Ms Garnett managed the Strategic Recruiting/Talent Aquisition at The National Wildlife Federation (NWF). She was responsible for ensuring consistent implementation of effective strategies, programs & processes within the nationwide recruiting structure. With a focus on results, she consistently sets and achieves recruitment targets for sourcing, efficiency & quality.
Prior to NWF, Ms. Garnett spent over six years with Smart Technology, whose focus is technology and professional services. At Smart Technology, Ms. Garnett was responsible for recruiting and staffing, employee retention, career/organizational development, benefits, compensation, training, and employee relations. During her tenure she focused on developing and implementing a strategic recruiting model to aid in the overall achievment of organizational success.
Prior to Smart Technology she was a Senior Corporate HR Generalist at Resource Consultants (RCI) with her main responsibility to over see compliance with OFCCP, AAP, and EEOC for multi-location, 1200+ employee base.
Prior to RCI, Ms. Garnett was the Manager of Human Resources for Sitel Corporation for the technical support center in Herndon, Va(over 36,000 employees worldwide).
Ms. Garnett’s specialties focus on integrating strategic selection and assessment strategies into the recruitment process that will help managers hire, coach and retain top talent. Her vast experience includes a broad range of Human Resources responsibilities including specific Program Development initiatives, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Strategic Recruiting, Targeted Talent Acquisition, Training, Compensation, Team Leadership, and all facets of Human Resources.
