About Tabrez
Tabrez is an Associate – Urban Transport at EMBARQ India. He coordinates technical support for bus operations, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems and non-motorized transport projects. He is based in Indore where his primary focus is working with the Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited (AICTSL) to help improve the quality of public bus services in the city.
Tabrez has conducted walkability surveys in different parts of the city of Indore, and ranked streets based on available walking amenities. He has also analysed the existing bicycle sharing system in the city. Tabrez has over 2 years experience in urban transport projects. Prior to joining EMBARQ India, he was a transportation engineer with AECOM in Gurgaon and worked on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project. He was mainly responsible for preparing a transportation network plan for the region and also preparing travel demand models based on future development.
He has worked on the Chennai Metro Rail Project where he surveyed building locations along an underground section of the metro rail alignment, surveyed station locations to examine proper accessibility to the passengers and worked on the land acquisition plan for construction. Tabrez holds a Master’s degree in transportation system engineering from Clemson University and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), Indore.
