About Sapna
Sapna joined EMBARQ in October 2010 as Program Coordinator to support the operations staff. She brings a diversity of experiences. She previously worked with the Markets and Enterprise Program at WRI to conduct research and write a report on market growth prospects of energy efficient technologies in buildings.

Before joining WRI, she worked with the Florida Sea Grant in South Florida to develop an education curriculum to engage high school students on water education and restoration and conservation of the Everglades. While in India with the Institute for Financial Management and Research, she conducted a research project on financial risks of investing in environmentally risky extractive industries. Sapna also provided budgetary support for various community projects to promote great ape conservation in Africa and Asia while she was with the UN Environment Programme in Nairobi.
Sapna, a native of Kenya, graduated with a master’s degree in sustainable international development from Brandeis University and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and international relations from Eckerd College.
She is an avid reader, aspiring foodie, enjoys watching tennis, soccer and independent films.
