Ryan is the Operations Coordinator for WRI’s Climate and Energy Program. His primary duties include advising project managers and directors in budget and financial management, maintaining internal communications and procedures, and providing executive support to the Climate and Energy Program Director, Jennifer Morgan. He also serves as a Sustainability Champion within CEP, helping to develop, communicate and integrate emissions-reduction practices into staff activities and program operations.

Ryan has a strong background in non-profit operations and management. In his previous work he spent 4 years as an Operations Manager and Station Manager at KRTU-FM, a listener-supported Jazz radio station in San Antonio, TX. He has also helped edit and publish books on Ragtime and Duke Ellington with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Library Editions imprint, and spent 3 months on an internship with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Ryan holds an M.A. from Columbia University for studies relating to politics and Islam in Central Asia. He graduated with a B.A. in History and Classics from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
