Ray Cheung has over 10 years of experience in Chinese environmental and business development issues. His experience includes an advisor to a private equity fund on its environmental and renewable energy investment strategy in China and a writer for the Economist Intelligence Unit’s “Business China” report, in which he probed investment opportunities in China’s environmental industries. He was also a China reporter for Hong Kong’s “South China Morning Post”, in which he covered extensively Chinese environmental and rural issues as well as its foreign relations, and a program manager at the University of Hong Kong’s Journalism and Media Studies Centre. In addition, Ray worked with the Chinese environmental organization Global Village of Beijing. Ray has a BS in Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Georgetown University. He is responsible for managing the Market and Enterprise Program’s initiatives in China.
