About Rauf

Rauf Prasodjo is a consultant and researcher for WRI’s Project POTICO, a project designed to prevent deforestation in Indonesia by diverting planned oil palm plantations from forests to degraded land.

Prior to joining WRI, Rauf worked as an international broadcaster and reporter at the Voice of America (VOA) in Washington D.C., where he reported on environmental events regarding deforestation in Indonesia for radio and television. He also worked in Washington D.C. at the Academy of Education Development in their Educational Policy and Data Center. In Jakarta, he interned at the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson of the Republic of Indonesia and a financial security firm.

Rauf holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies from Kenyon College. He speaks fluent Indonesian and is proficient in French.
