About Pierre

Pierre Méthot is a Forest Engineer with a Masters degree in Public Administration. He has 35 years of professional experience in forestry and natural resources management, and in the design and management of international programmes and projects. His main fields of technical expertise include forest sector reviews, national forest development plans and strategies, forest policy and legislation, forest revenue systems, feasibility studies, and, finally, in commercial logging, wood processing and wood products marketing.

Mr. Méthot is also quite familiar with forest and climate change issues, reforestation, agro-forestry, social forestry and rural development as well as in forest ecosystems management and conservation. Mr. Méthot has extensive international experience having completed 40 projects in over 25 countries and having conducted many other business development missions in other countries.
