About Oretta
Oretta is WRI’s Director of Event & Conference Services. She assists all programs/departments in planning their events and provides support on logistical arrangements, including hotel accommodations, catering, on-site support and whatever else is needed to assure that the event runs smoothly. She also handles the logistical arrangements for all WRI Board and all-staff events.
Her professional experience has mostly been with WRI, presently in her 28th year. Before WRI, she worked for the Center of Economic & Social Information at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to that Oretta worked in Washington, D.C. – at the World Bank, Worldwatch Institute, the Bolton Institute and the Overseas Development Council.
Oretta received an Associate Degree in Science from Fisher College in Boston, MA.
She’s enjoys watching sports, especially football (Redskins fan for ages) and soccer and reads romance/mystery novels to relax.
