About Matthew
Matthew Raifman is an Associate for Strategy and Management at EMBARQ, where he works with Director Holger Dalkmann and the management team to advance research projects, internal and external communications, and strategic partnership development.

Prior to joining EMBARQ, Matthew was a StateStat Analyst in the Office of the Governor of Maryland, where he applied performance management metrics to transportation, business and economic development, as well as energy and environmental issues. Previously, he worked as a Senior Research Assistant in the Economic Studies Program at the Brookings Institution, where his research interests included pandemic influenza, homeland security modeling, and the prevalence of obesity.
Matthew enjoys traveling and has lived in the United Kingdom, Italy, and Ghana, where he co-managed a randomized controlled trial that examined the most effective way to distribute insecticide-treated mosquito nets. Matthew holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tufts University.
