Lillian is the Operations Manager for the Development Department and has over 20 years of experience in fundraising and donor relations. She manages institutional foundation relations and supports WRI leadership and programs in their fund development. Lillian also works with WRI’s China Office staff to support fundraising and donor outreach, and works closely with the Vice President for Institutional Strategy and Development to manage the day to day operations of the Development department. Lillian has been with WRI since 1997. She has served the Institute in a variety of institutional and programmatic fundraising capacities including corporate and foundation fundraising for WRI’s former Sustainable Enterprise Program (now Markets and Enterprise) and directing prospect research.

Prior to joining WRI, Lillian served as Development Coordinator for the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, and as a grant writer at the House of Ruth, a DC-based homeless shelter for women and children. Prior, she served as Assistant to the Vice President of the International Division of the US Chamber of Commerce, and as Assistant to the Chairman of the Board at Conservation International.

Lillian holds a Masters of Applied Anthropology and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maryland.
