Lesly Baesens is a Project Coordinator for The Access Initiative. Prior to joining WRI, Lesly spent several years in the private sector where she handled international sales and operations for a Washington, DC-based exporter.

Originally from Belgium, she is fluent in French and English and holds a degree in Public Relations from the Institut des Hautes Etudes des Communications Sociales in Brussels. In her free time, Lesly is a volunteer trainer with the Washington Humane Society.
