Lesly Baesens is the Project Coordinator II for the Access Team. She manages contracts, finances, publications and events for the project, amongst other things. She also administers The Access Initiative’s (TAI) blog and listservs. TAI is the world’s largest network of civil society organizations dedicated to ensuring that local communities have the rights and abilities to gain access to information and to participate in decisions that affect their lives and their environment.

Prior to joining WRI, Lesly spent several years in the private sector where she handled international sales and operations for a Washington, DC-based exporter.

She holds a degree in Public Relations from the Institut des Hautes Etudes des Communications Sociales in Brussels.

In her free time, Lesly enjoys tending to her all-native plant garden, traveling and cooking.
