About Kerina
Kerina works in the Managing Director’s Office as a Management Associate for Global Operations. She helps manage WRI’s global operations and supports the Executive Team in central functions such as strategy, fundraising, communications, operations and quality control for WRI’s international offices. Additionally, Kerina is also a member of the global management team of the Sustainable and Livable Cities Initiative, which aims at catalyzing sustainable solutions in energy, transport, water sectors and improving quality of life in four urban centers in WRI’s priority countries- China, India and Brazil. Kerina joined WRI in August, 2010.

Kerina has been working in sustainable development at a global scale for a few years. Prior to joining WRI, she was a Corporate Social Responsibility Fellow at Hill & Knowlton in Washington DC, a global public relations consultancy company, working on sustainability and environmental programs with corporate, government and non-profit clients. She also has three years of experience in the media industry in China, Hong Kong and the US.
Kerina is academically trained in strategizing and communicating for sustainability and international development causes, and professionally experienced in researching, articulating, and promoting environmental policies for international audiences. She participated in the Public Diplomacy graduate program at Syracuse University, where she obtained a M.A. in International Relations degree and a M.S. in Public Relations degree. She also has a B.A. degree in Broadcast Journalism and International Communications.
