About Juan

Juan is the Assistant Coordinator for the People and Ecosystems forests project in Equatorial Guinea. He works as a liaison between project staff in Equatorial Guinea, Ministry officials and Washingon, DC-based WRI staff.

Juan studied forests and forest engineering at the National College Patrick Lumba Mongomo, the Institute of San Agustin Inem in Bata as well as the Institute Inem Rey Malabo in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

In 2010 Juan conducted a 3-day seminar on “Climate Change and REDD +” in Ngolo Bata and in 2011 conducted a study of flora and fauna at the National University of Equatorial Guinea (UNGE). He speaks and writes Spanish fluently and is proficient in French and English.
