Jonathan is an experienced computer programmer specializing in web-based applications. He creates innovative ways to apply technology to sustainable development issues.

Jonathan St. John is an associate in the People and Ecosystems program. During his time at WRI he has worked on a number of web-based technology initiatives, including EarthTrends, Material Flows, the Earth Charter Initiative and, most recently, NutrientNet. Jonathan seeks to apply his computer programming expertise to environmental and sustainable development issues, creating innovative web-based applications.

Prior to coming to WRI, Jonathan received a Master's degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University and a B.A. from Reed College. Since 1999, he has worked with private companies and non-profit organizations on web-based projects. He has expertise in a number of computer languages, including Perl, PHP, Javascript, ASP, Coldfusion and Python.
