Emily Chessin is the Program Coordinator for the International Financial Flows & the Environment (IFFE) and Electricity Governance Initiative (EGI) teams.
Emily joined WRI in March 2007 as the biofuels research intern in the WRI People and Ecosystems Program. The majority of her research focused on the impact of increased biofuel production and expansion on land use change in Brazil.
Emily is originally from Fairfield, Connecticut and graduated from Gettysburg College in May 2006 with a degree in Environmental Studies. Before coming to WRI, she worked at Earthplace, a non-profit in Westport, Connecticut. At Earthplace, she helped lead their water quality monitoring effort of local estuaries and watersheds in lower Fairfield County, CT.
