Debbie Boger, who recently joined the World Resources Institute as the Director of U.S. Climate Policy, has extensive knowledge of a broad range of environmental policy issues based on 15 years in advocacy and with the legislative and executive branches of government. She most recently served as the Director of Community Programs at the Alliance for Climate Protection. Previously, as Deputy Legislative Director for the Sierra Club, Debbie helped run the Club’s legislative program and worked closely with the conservation, consumer, labor, and faith communities to advocate for environmental safeguards in legislation and regulations. Prior to that, Debbie was an aide to Senator Joe Lieberman on environmental issues and an advisor to the Gore/Lieberman 2000 campaign on energy and environment. Before her advocacy work, Debbie spent over five years at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she and her team were awarded the Vice President’s Hammer Award for Innovation in Government. Debbie holds a B.A. in Biology from Pomona College and a Master in Public Policy from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University.
