Dan comes to WRI from the University of Maryland, where he directed the Environmental Finance Center. Throughout his career, Dan has worked extensively with communities and local officials throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed and Mid-Atlantic region on a broad variety of environmental finance issues. His areas of expertise include developing and leveraging market-based financing approaches to watershed protection and restoration.
Dan has produced several reports on emerging environmental issues including financing land preservation, the role of financing authorities and institutions in ecosystem restoration, and the benefit of green infrastructure and low impact development techniques on urban wet weather management.
Dan holds a BA in Economics, a Master of Environmental Policy, and a Master of Business Administration, all from the University of Maryland, College Park.
