Chris Lau’s work at WRI is focused on the advancement of renewable energy markets in both the US and Europe. Chris brings a wealth of market analysis and business partnership experience to the Green Power Market Development Group. Prior to WRI, Chris served as a consultant to various renewable energy and advocacy organizations, including the American Wind Energy Association and the Nature Conservancy of Massachusetts. During his career in the private sector, Chris was the senior manager for corporate disclosure products at Thomson Financial and was responsible for revenue growth in the US, European, and Latin American markets.

Chris has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a M.S. in Engineering Management from Duke University.
