About Catherine
Catherine Easton is the Project Coordinator II for the Equity, Poverty and the Environment project (EPE), which is housed in WRI’s Institutions and Governance Program (IGP). She manages the project’s grants, contracts, finances, communications, and outreach.
She first joined IGP as an intern for the International Financial Flows and the Environment project (IFFE), where she assisted with administrative tasks and research support.

Catherine holds a B.A. in International Studies and in Environmental Studies from the University of Chicago. Her honors research thesis weighed the equity and efficiency of various market mechanisms such as the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism, and examined the role of carbon offsets in proposed US climate legislation. She studied abroad in Pune, India, and as a dual French/American citizen, spent a term in Paris, taking classes at Dauphine and Sciences Po.
Catherine enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, knitting and photography.
