Bo is a Research Associate with the Forest Governance and Policy team, a subset of the Natural Resources Governance and Policy Initiative. The team coordinates WRI's engagement on policy measures related to forest products and commodity supply chains associated with forest degradation and deforestation. Bo leads the team's program development and management related to China and coordinates with WRI China to promote green soft commodity supply chains. Bo also works to create holistic strategies to global sustainable supply chains of agricultural and forest products, complemented by research on international forest legality policies.

Prior to joining WRI, Bo was a research assistant at Johns Hopkins University conducting research on carbon tax and environmental policies in China.

Bo holds an M.A. in international relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. and a B.A. in development economics from Peking University in China.

In his free time, Bo enjoys going for a hike, taking photos, exploring new restaurants, and watching basketball games. He is a big San Antonio Spurs fan.
