Amy Cassara is a Senior Associate at WRI. The majority of her work involves the analysis of global trends, information visualization, and the compilation of sustainable development indicators and statistics. She currently manages EarthTrends, a comprehensive on-line reference collection accessed by more than 5 million users in 190 countries and territories. Ms. Cassara has also managed the production of data tables and graphics for the 2005 World Resources Report and assisted in the creation of material flow accounts for the United States that can be used in conjunction with economic accounts.

Before joining WRI, Ms. Cassara developed science and environmental education programs in the Philippines as a Peace Corps volunteer. She has also worked as a teacher and a computer programmer. Ms. Cassara holds two degrees from Duke University: a Master’s in Physics and Chemistry Education and a B.S.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
