About Amanda Sauer

Amanda Sauer is a Senior Associate in the Markets and Enterprise Program at the World Resources Institute.

Amanda specializes in research and analysis on the financial impacts of major environmental issues on industries and their supply chains with a focus on the automotive, energy, forest products, and consumer products sectors. Her most recent publications include Rattling Supply Chains: The effect of environmental trends on input costs for the fast-moving consumer goods industry and Trees in the Greenhouse: Why climate change is transforming the forest products business. Amanda’s research has been featured in the Economist, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, NPR’s Market Place, the International Herald Tribune, as well as numerous journals and trade publications. Amanda has an Economics degree from Cornell University and a MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
