Allison Slaughter is EMBARQ’s operations manager. She is responsible for providing administrative, financial management, and programmatic support to the EMBARQ DC team, supporting senior management in the execution of program goals and collaborating with staff in EMBARQ’s international offices to refine administrative and operating procedures. Allison joins the team with ten years combined work experience in finance, program management and administration for private and public, non-profit organizations. Prior to joining EMBARQ, Allison worked as an administrator for a projects designed to improve health, education and social outcomes for people living at-risk.

Allison earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and Mandarin Chinese from Bates College and a Masters of Public Administration in the management of international, non-profit organizations from the New York University Wagner School of Public Service. As a graduate student, Allison completed a year-long needs assessment project for the New York Times Knowledge Network to help the organization expand one of its social networking websites to better engage international audiences.

Allison has experience living, learning and working outside of the US in China, South Africa, Mexico and Brazil. Outside of work Allison enjoys running, hiking, traveling and great food.
