About Alisa Zomer
Alisa Zomer is the Program Coordinator for the Institutions and Governance Program (IGP). Before joining IGP, Alisa supported the Development Department at WRI researching corporate sustainability and philanthropic giving trends.
Alisa holds a B.A. from The Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University with concentrations in Environmental Resources and Geography. She spent a semester studying international development and geography at La Universidad Católica in Valparaiso, Chile.
Originally from the Boston area, Alisa worked with the Urban Ecology Institute conducting a GIS/GPS-based survey of street trees in Boston. Her interest in the environment was cultivated while building trails in National Parks for two consecutive summers as part of a work crew sponsored by the Student Conservation Association.
