International Action
The global nature of climate change requires a significant and coordinated response from the international community. WRI works with governments, corporations, and nongovernmental organizations around the world to find ways to limit greenhouse gas emissions and improve adaptive capacity in both developed and developing countries.
- Climate Policy Design [0]—building on the 1992 UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.
- Sustainable Development [0]—helping major developing countries meet their development goals while simultaneously protecting the global climate system from further harm.
- Measuring Greenhouse Gas Emissions [0]—establishing an internationally accepted system for tracking and reporting greenhouse gas emissions.
- Sustainable Transportation [0]—creating technically and environmentally sound solutions to the problems of urban transit.
- Reducing Climate Vulnerability [0]—helping communities adapt to altered weather patterns, increased threats of natural disasters and other climate change impacts.
