WASHINGTON (October 20, 2017)— At a time when climate impacts are becoming more visible and political uncertainty continues, negotiators will gather in Bonn Germany to advance action under the Paris Agreement. COP23 will be held in Bonn, Germany, November 6-17, where negotiators will start to map out how to implement the Paris Agreement and set the foundation for 2018, a pivotal year for climate action. The negotiations will be led by Fiji, the first small island developing nation to assume the Presidency of UN climate negotiations.

On Friday, October 27, at 9:30am EDT, World Resources Institute will hold a press call where WRI’s president and experts on international climate policy, finance, and adaptation will share insights on what to watch at COP23. Speakers include: Andrew Steer, Paula Caballero, Leonardo Martinez-Diaz, and Christina Chan.

WRI’s experts will discuss the significance of the climate negotiations in today’s political landscape, and address the role of cities, states, companies, and other non-state actors in advancing climate action. Experts will provide details on what to look for around key issues as the negotiations unfold, including the rulebook, adaptation, climate finance and more.
