Event features former President of Mexico, business executives, and NGO leaders

WASHINGTON— Building on the findings of the recently launched New Climate Economy report, WRI will release a new study, called Seeing Is Believing, that outlines the experiences and opportunities to advance economic growth and climate action in the United States.

The event will feature Felipe Calderón, former President of Mexico (and WRI Board member) and Chad Holliday, Member and former Chairman of the Board, Bank of America; along with Dr. Andrew Steer, President and CEO, WRI; Ken Gayer, Vice President and General Manager, Fluorine Products, Honeywell International; and Nicholas Bianco, Senior Associate, WRI and lead author. Amy Harder, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, will moderate the panel discussion.

Authored by experts from the World Resources Institute (WRI), the paper contains new analysis and real examples of how companies and governments are making progress on low-carbon strategies that can drive economic growth and reduce emissions.

The event will take place on Friday, October 10, at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

The event is open to media and will include a Q&A session. Breakfast will begin at 9:00 a.m. and presentations will begin at 10:00 a.m.
