Promoting Profitable, Competitive and Sustainable Businesses in India by mainstreaming measurement and management of greenhouse gas emissions

Mumbai— Indian business leaders will be gathering in Mumbai for the launch of a new greenhouse gas accounting tool on July 16, 2014. The India GHG Program, a voluntary, industry-led partnership, is organizing a high-level summit that aims to address opportunities and challenges on greenhouse gas management across SMEs and extended supply chain partners.

The Summit will see the formal launch of the SME GHG Accounting Tool, a do-it-yourself toolkit for small businesses to measure and manage emissions. Panel discussions will cover specific examples of successes and best practices for collaborative engagements.

The India GHG Program has active engagements with more than 28 of the largest businesses in India, with activities like tool development, energy and emission management, training and capacity building, peer interactions, and more.

Participants at the event, at The Lalit in Mumbai, will include key business leaders, high level representatives of program founding member companies and key partners of the India GHG Program.
