The authors of ‘Faster Smarter Greener - The Future of the Car and Urban Mobility’ and the World Resources Institute (WRI) cordially invite you to the global launch of the book in Washington, D.C. The launch will be followed by a panel discussion featuring thought leaders in the fields of urban mobility, digital entrepreneurship, technology and auto industry innovations.

“Faster, Smarter, Greener: The Future of the Car and Urban Mobility”, co-authored by Dr. Venkat Sumantran, Dr. Charles Fine and Dr. David Gonsalvez, anticipates a fundamental transformation of urban mobility, and examines the drivers emerging from urbanization, sustainability and consumer attitudes. The book draws attention to the role of policy, technology and business innovators in re-shaping the future of mobility. The authors propose a future mobility framework that should be adaptable across global regions, inclusive across economic and demographic sections, and dynamic to embrace new technologies and mobility solutions.

Dr. Sumantran will give remarks about the central tenets of the book, to be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Ani Dasgupta, Global Director of the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. The panel will include Venkat Sumantran, Cuneyt Oge, Jessica Seddon and Kevin Webb, will discuss alternate visions on how we can transform our current urban mobility architecture into one that is more sustainable, smarter and inclusive.
