African Civil Society Pre-AMCEN Consultative Workshop

Held prior to the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) meeting, this consultative workshop engaged African civil-society organizations for their perspectives on the implications of the Paris Agreement for Africa, Sustainable Development Goals, and Agenda 2063.
This workshop was held just prior to the 16th AMCEN session allowing African civil society organizations to contribute to discussions regarding the continent’s agenda and to the theme of the AMCEN meeting, "Investing in Innovative Environmental Solutions to accelerate implementation of Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2063 in Africa."
WRI Senior Associate and UNFCCC lead Yamide Dagnet presented on designing a robust and effective Paris Rulebook and the 2018 Facilitative Dialogue.
This workshop was organized and supported by the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance, the European Commission, and the Project for Advancing Climate Transparency.
