Financing is a core issue of the New Urban Agenda, and one of cities’ biggest challenges. Through an interactive panel discussion featuring IDFC members and government representatives, we will explore the role of Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) in supporting sustainable urban development and discuss experiences with past and current urban development initiatives.

This event aims to spark dialogue among DFIs and other capital providers, government actors, and civil society to identify concrete ways to mobilize resources for sustainable urban development.

This Habitat III side event is a collaboration between CAF-Development Bank of Latin America, Agence Française de Développement (AFD), and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on behalf of the International Development Finance Club (IDFC), and World Resources Institute (WRI).

This event is open to anyone who has registered to attend the UN Habitat III Conference. No need to RSVP; however, please note that seating will be limited so plan to arrive in time to secure a seat.
