Roundtables for Investments in Restoration
Achieving restoration at scale and in a sustainable way is challenging if the private sector’s activities are not taken into consideration. Both enterprises and landholders can play a significant role through engaging in appropriate restoration activities that contribute in greater magnitude to land use change. With the engagement of the private sector, the dynamic of land degradation can be significantly modified as more private stakeholders engage in restoration activities and incorporate best practices in their businesses.
It is under this premise that Initiative 20x20 will be proposing and organizing a series of roundtables between government officials, project promoters, impact investors and other stakeholders.
The roundtables, the first of which was held earlier this year, will have the main objective of presenting and discussing concrete investment opportunities where landowners and projects promoters’ goals align with those of participating impact investors.
