The Climate Impacts Collaborative hosted a webinar The National Climate Assessment: What is it and what Does it Mean to Me? on Thursday, February 27th at 1:30-3:00PM Eastern Standard Time.

The speakers provided detailed background on the National Climate Assessment, its expected findings, and how it can be utilized by those at the local and regional scale in responding to and preparing for climate change.

Those who attend learned how they can use information within the NCA to supplement their local and regional efforts to address climate change, what initiatives they can engage in around the release of the report to amplify its findings and value, and the importance of local leadership to address climate change and its influence at the federal level. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session. For those unable to attend, the webinar was recorded.

The Climate Impacts Collaborative is a national partnership, guided by the Union of Concerned Scientists and the World Resources Institute with facilitation support provided by the Meridian Institute. The Collaborative connects groups to share information and strategies around climate impacts and leverages our collective resources to elevate local impacts to the national level in order to advance the national dialogue on climate change.
