Announcing the Global Climate Registry Alliance
The Global Climate Registry Alliance invites you to attend its launch event, June 18, 2012.
The Global Climate Registry Alliance - GCRA (Alliance) is a consortium of programs worldwide that are actively supporting efforts to measure and manage greenhouse gas emissions. Our Alliance envisions a world that is on a measurable path to sustainability, and we are working together to align our credible, transparent standards, methods and tools for carbon measurement and management. In the belief that you "can't manage what you don’t measure" we aim to provide an accurate, comparable, standardized understanding of greenhouse gas emissions by sector, activity, region or country. By collecting consistent facility and corporate level emissions data, we will help companies understand and manage their corporate footprints; we will help policymakers determine appropriate policies, measures and incentives; and we will educate consumers on the impacts of their purchasing choices. In addition, the Alliance will recognize global companies that are leaders on climate change.
