Meeting in the Middle: Bonn Side Event on Reconciling Top Down and Bottom Up Approaches to MRV

At this official Bonn side event, WRI will address how international and domestic measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems can be mutually supportive. It will showcase domestic MRV systems in Canada and Brazil’s forestry sector, and in China and the European Union’s energy sector in order to explore concrete ways that an international climate regime (“top-down) can support domestic (“bottom-up”) MRV systems.
