Honorees

Daniel L. Doctoroff, President, Bloomberg L.P.

WRI will be honoring Mr. Doctoroff for his leadership on PLANYC, the visionary and pragmatic roadmap to the first environmentally sustainable 21st century city. PLANYC outlined strategies for creating a stronger, healthier, more efficient and more beautiful city and we can see the results already: two hundred thousand new trees; a greener taxi fleet; new bus routes and bicycle lanes, new storm water retention projects, increased energy efficiency in city buildings, a 2.5 percent reduction in citywide greenhouse gas emissions.

Charles O. Holliday, Chairman, DuPont

WRI will be honoring Mr. Holliday for his long-term vision in steering DuPont on a path where environmentalism is both an operational imperative and a core principle in growing the business. During his tenure, the company has set and met pioneering sustainability goals and developed new processes and products that have improved not only DuPont’s environmental footprint, but those of its customers and consumers as well.
