In this panel discussion, the Commission on Climate Change and Development will present its report, “Closing the Gaps: Exploring the Links Between Adaptation to Climate Change and Development.”
The international Commission on Climate Change and Development was launched by the Swedish government in late 2007. The Commission examined adaptation to climate change and its links with development and disaster risk reduction and was asked to issue policy recommendations on how the resilience of vulnerable communities and countries can be strengthened through official development assistance (ODA), on appropriate institutional and financial architecture, and on the mobilization of new financial resources.
